Spanish producer prices up by 2.6% in January

Producer prices in Spain rose by 2.6% in January compared to the same month a year prior, the country's National Statistics Institute (INE) shared in its report on Wednesday. The figure marks an increase from an annual rate of 2.3% registered in December.

Energy was the main contributor to the increase in the overall index, advancing 8.6% year-over-year. However, the general producer price index without energy declined by 0.2% from January 2024.

On a monthly basis, producer prices advanced by 0.4% in January.
