SoftBank CEO Masayoshi Son predicted on Tuesday that artificial superintelligence (ASI), capable of being 10,000 times smarter than the human brain, will emerge by 2035.

Speaking at the Future Investment Initiative, Son emphasized the vast investments needed to reach this milestone: "Hundreds of billions of dollars of investment are required to achieve artificial superintelligence."

However, he also revealed that SoftBank is conserving tens of billions of dollars to fuel future advancements in AI, aiming to position the company at the forefront of this technological leap.
