A shell landed near a civilian house in South Korea's Pocheon during military drills on Thursday, injuring seven people, Yonhap reported, citing authorities.

A church and six houses were damaged by the impact while those injured suffered minor to serious wounds.

South Korean investigators are looking into whether the shell resulted from a military drill misfire. No further information was immediately available.
