South Korea's National Assembly on Saturday rejected a bill calling for a special counsel investigation into First Lady Kim Keon-hee.

The bill aimed to probe allegations of corruption and election interference against her but failed to pass. The proposal, previously vetoed by President Yoon Suk-yeol, was put to a revote but failed to secure the required two-thirds majority. The final tally stood at 198 votes for and 102 against.
