The Caixin China General Manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) came in at 50.4 in April, according to the latest report released by S&P Global on Wednesday.
The manufacturing performance remained in the expansionary territory, however, it contracted compared to the previous month, with this month's number being 0.8 points lower than the previous reading.
