Russia's Defense Ministry claimed on Sunday its military has destroyed Ukraine's Project 1241 navy ship, known in the NATO nomenclature as Tarantul, near Odessa.

The ministry issued a statement adding that the Russian forces brought down two Kiev's Su-24 bombers and one Mi-24 helicopter during the last 24 hours.

During the night, Air Force Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces claimed that the Russian side is "suffering significant losses" in the region.
