Russian Defense Ministry announced on Monday that 150 Russian servicemen have been returned from captivity in Ukraine, while the same number of Ukrainian captive soldiers have been handed over in return.

According to the statement, the Russian servicemen were transported to Belarus, where they received psychological and medical assistance and were allowed to contact their families. They will soon return to Russia for further treatment and rehabilitation under the Defense Ministry’s care.

Moscow stressed the United Arab Emirates played a humanitarian mediation role during the exchange process.
