United Kingdom Foreign Secretary David Lammy on Wednesday said that London does not see Russia as serious about Ukraine peace talks.

In a joint press conference with his Ukrainian counterpart Andrii Sybiha held in Kiev, Lemmy pledged to continue to sanction Russia's "shadow fleet." The foreign secretary underscored that the peace conditions that were set out by Russian President Vladimir Putin last year cast doubt over a reasonable basis for a ceasefire.

Earlier in the day, the UK government announced on its official website that an additional £55 million is being allocated for Ukraine in an effort to "boost resilience and growth" in both countries. The statement further revealed plans to provide £3 million for deliveries of Ukrainian grain and other food produce to Syria.
