Russian President Vladimir Putin pointed out on Friday that his country is ready to continue to transport its gas supplies via Ukraine, but that the agreements previously established between the two nations are set to conclude by the end of this year.

"Two routes through the territory of Ukraine. One of them is the GIS 'Sokhranovka'. It was closed quite a long time ago by the Ukrainian side. But now along the second branch, where Sudzha is, that's the name of the settlement, we are indeed still supplying, supplies are still going on. But the contract ends at the end of this year in December," Putin told Russia 24 TV channel.

The president went on to add that Russia does not refuse gas supply to Europe. "There are several routes for receiving it," he concluded.
