Paris Prosecutor's Office started on Friday an investigation into billionaire and entrepreneur Elon Musk's X Corporation due to alleged distortions in the algorithm.

In a statement given to Franceinfo, it was detailed that the algorithms are "likely to have distorted the functioning of an automated data processing system."

The Prosecutor's Office went on to say that competent authorities from the cybercrime department are analyzing the issue "and carrying out initial technical checks." Back on January 12, it received a report related to the matter from a French lawmaker, Eric Bothorel, who mentioned that X's algorithm was "biased."
