Oil up by more than 1% on Middle East turmoil

The prices of oil futures grew on Monday as traders assessed the potential consequences of the opposition forces seizing power in Syria and outsing President Bashar al-Assad.
West Texas Intermediate (WTI) for January's settlements increased by 1.50% to sell for $68.20 per barrel. Simultaneously, Brent for February's deliveries rose by 1.32% to go for $72.03 per barrel.
