Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed on Sunday before boarding a plane to the United States that he will be talking about the situation in Gaza and tariffs with US President Donald Trump.

"This reflects the special personal connection and the special connection between the United States and Israel, which is so vital at this time," Netanyahu commented, referring to him being the first leader to discuss tariffs with Trump after reciprocal duties were announced.

The two are expected to meet on Monday, April 7.
