NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg stated at a press conference in Oslo on Tuesday that 700 more troops will be deployed to Kosovo and Metohija following the recent increase in tensions.

"We have decided to deploy 700 more troops from the operational reserve force for western Balkans and to put an additional battalion of reserve forces on high alertness so they can also be deployed if needed," Stoltenberg explained.

In the clashes that previously took place between NATO-led Kosovo Force and Kosovo Serbs, both sides were left with numerous people injured.
