Kim Jong-un meets with Russian resource minister

Russian Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Alexander Kozlov met with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un in Pyongyang at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported.

Kozlov arrived in Pyongyang on Sunday for the 11th meeting of the intergovernmental commission on trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation between North Korea and Russia, where he met with the North Korean leader. At the meeting, Kim stated that cooperation between his country and Russia was becoming deeper in a multitude of ways and stressed the need to "more broadly and multifacetedly stimulate intergovernmental trade, economic, scientific and technical exchange and cooperation" to foster joint development.

The North Korean leader also stated he appreciated the deepening of solidarity and cooperation in various fields between his country and Russia after the Treaty on Comprehensive Strategic Partnership was signed.
