Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) revealed on Wednesday that it thwarted an attempt to smuggle weapons using a drone in the Egyptian border area.

The Israeli forces reportedly identified and shot down a drone coming from Egyptian territory into Israel near the Paran Brigade area. The drone was said to be carrying 13 weapons along with additional cartridges, which were then transferred to the Israeli security forces to be processed.

According to the Times of Israel, the latest attempt to smuggle weapons over the Egyptian border was one of many that occurred in recent months.
