Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office confirmed on Thursday via a post on X that Israel received the coffins of four deceased Israeli hostages from Gaza with the assistance of the Red Cross.

"The coffins were transferred to an IDF force and the ISA, inside the Gaza Strip, from where they will be transferred to Israel, to the Health Ministry's National Center of Forensic Medicine," the office stated. "The families of the hostages have been updated and will be officially notified upon completion of the identification process."

The bodies are said to be those of Shiri Bibas and her two children, Ariel and Kfir, along with Oded Lifshitz, who was 83 years old at the time of his abduction. Kfir, who was 9 months old when taken, was the youngest captive. According to Hamas, all four individuals, including their guards, died as a result of Israeli airstrikes.
