Ireland's Taoiseach Micheal Martin (pictured) pledged to protect jobs and the economy after the United States imposed new tariffs. In a video posted on X, he said the government would support both multinational and Irish companies during this period.

Martin also said Ireland would work with the European Union to engage in talks with Washington to minimize the impact of the tariffs.
