United States Vice President Kamala Harris is set to propose an even tougher asylum policy than the current one introduced by President Joe Biden, Politico reported on Friday citing a senior official.

Harris will be sharing her proposal during her first visit to the southern border as the Democratic presidential nominee. The senior official gave no further details on what measures she would advocate for.

During her address, she is also expected to criticize Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump for ruining the bipartisan border agreement.
