Hamas says it thwarted Israel's 'declared and hidden' goals
The head of the Hamas negotiation delegation in Gaza, Khalil al-Hayya (pictured left), said on Wednesday that Israel's plans have been "thwarted" due to the Palestinian people's "steadfastness" and the bravery of its resistance.
"We will not forget, we will not forgive, and none of us will give up the sacrifices of our people in the Gaza Strip. Our enemy will never see a moment of weakness from us, and our people will never forget anyone who participated in the war of extermination. Our people have thwarted the occupation's declared and hidden goals. Today, we prove that the occupation will never defeat our people and their resistance," al-Hayya said.
The militant group expressed its appreciation for all those who showed "solidarity" with Gaza and thanked "the mediating brothers who made great efforts to reach this agreement, especially Qatar and Egypt."
