Elysee, the French presidential office, announced on Thursday in a statement that President Emmanuel Macron will name the new prime minister on Friday, December 13.

While Macron initially stated he would appoint the new prime minister on Thursday, at the latest, the decision was postponed for tomorrow morning.

The French head of state was traveling to Poland today and landed in Paris moments ago.
