Europe higher premarket as Trump announces global tariffs

Major stock indexes in Europe traded in the green in premarket hours on Monday after United States President Donald Trump announced that he will impose 25% tariffs on all aluminum and steel imports. Additionally, the latest report on the Eurozone's investor confidence is expected to be released after the opening bell.
The DAX climbed by 1.69%, while the FTSE 100 improved by 2.04% at 8:00 am CET. At the same time, the CAC 40 added 0.90%, and the Euro Stoxx 50 surged by 2.55%.
The euro and the pound traded flat against the dollar at 7:58 am CET, selling for $1.03187 and $1.24087, respectively.
