Pakistan's military said India fired six ballistic missiles that landed inside Indian territory.
Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, the spokesperson for Inter-Services Public Relations, made the announcement, saying five missiles struck Amritsar and one landed in Adampur, both in the Indian state of Punjab. Chaudhry alleged that India targeted a Sikh community during the strike.
