Working natural gas in storage across the United States increased by 37 billion cubic feet (Bcf) in the week ending March 21 compared to the week prior to land at 1,744 Bcf, the Energy Information Administration (EIA) revealed in its report published on Thursday.

At the same time, stocks fell by 557 Bcf compared to the same period last year and stood 122 Bcf lower than the 5-year average of 1,866 Bcf. The total working gas storage remains within the five-year average.
