Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau reiterated his country's firm stance on international law, stressing the importance of adherence to regulations and rulings of international courts, on Thursday. This statement follows the International Criminal Court's (ICC) recent arrest warrants against Israeli officials and Hamas leaders for alleged war crimes.

"As founding members of the [ICC], we must stand up for international law," Trudeau said, underscoring Canada's commitment to justice. He called for immediate aid for those suffering from famine and disease in the regions affected by Israeli military actions, the release of hostages, and a ceasefire to protect civilians.

Trudeau condemned Hamas and urged the group to lay down its arms. He reaffirmed Canada's support for a two-state solution, envisioning peaceful coexistence between Israel and Palestine.
