Two officials of the United States Navy denied on Friday that Yemen's Houthi forces had hit three of its vessels when passing through the Bab el-Mandeb strait, in proximity to Yemen, CNN said.
The three vessels involved were the guided-missile destroyers USS Spruance and USS Stockdale, and the littoral combat ship USS Indianapolis. Despite Houthis claiming to have carried the “largest naval operation” and hitting the crafts, the US defense officials reported that all launches were either blocked or missed, resulting in no damage to ships or wounded personnel.
The attack involved 23 ballistic, winged missiles and drones.
