Booking's Q3 revenue jumps by 9% to $8B

Booking Holdings Inc. revealed in a report on Wednesday that its revenue in the third quarter of fiscal 2024 jumped by 9% compared to the same quarter in the previous year and reached $8 billion.

The American traveling company reported that room nights booked increased by 8% year-on-year, while gross travel bookings stood at $43.4 billion, climbing by 9% compared to the same period in the prior year. Net income remained in line with the same quarter in 2023 at $2.5 billion, while its net income per diluted common share (EPS) advanced by 7% year over year and reached $74.34.

"We are pleased to report third quarter room night growth of 8%, which exceeded our prior expectations, driven primarily by stronger performance in Europe," CEO Glenn Fogel stated. "We continue to make progress against our strategic initiatives while driving cost efficiency in our business, which I believe will position our company well for the long term," he added.
