United States President Joe Biden condemned on Friday recent attacks on Israeli soccer fans in Amsterdam, describing them as "despicable" acts that evoke "dark moments in history."

Taking on X, Biden expressed solidarity with Israel and appreciation for Dutch authorities' commitment to hold the attackers accountable. "We must relentlessly fight Antisemitism, wherever it emerges," he said.

The incident occurred as Maccabi Tel Aviv fans were leaving a Europa League match against Ajax. Ten Israelis were injured, and two remain missing, according to Israel's Foreign Ministry. Israeli media reported that pro-Palestinian rioters were responsible, shouting slogans like "free Palestine."
