Israeli fighter jets struck the courtyard of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in central Gaza's Deir al-Balah, Wafa reported.

Fires broke out among the tents sheltering displaced Palestinians at the site of the strike, with the attack causing an as yet unknown number of deaths and injuries, according to the news agency.

Earlier, at least 20 people were killed in an Israeli airstrike that hit a school-turned-shelter in central Gaza's Nuseirat, according to local hospitals.
