Asia-Pacific mixed after Trump's new tariffs

Major stock indexes in the Asia-Pacific region traded mixed on Tuesday after United States President Donald Trump signed an order imposing a 25% tariff on steel and aluminum imports.

Australia's S&P/ASX 200 gained 0.08% at 3:27 am CET. South Korea's Kospi Composite was up by 0.60% a minute later. Hong Kong's Hang Seng lost 0.34% at 3:29 am CET, while, on the Chinese mainland, the Shanghai Composite and the Shenzhen Composite decreased by 0.21% and 0.64%, respectively. Japan markets were closed for a holiday.

The dollar traded flat against the yen, going for ¥151.9390 at 3:30 am CET.
