Amazon gains creative control of James Bond franchise
Amazon.com, Inc. announced on Thursday that its MGM Studios entered into an agreement with screenwriter and producer Michael Wilson and producer Barbara Broccoli to share the intellectual property rights of the James Bond franchise as co-owners, with Amazon MGM Studios obtaining creative control over future productions.

Wilson and Barbara Broccoli for their unyielding dedication and their role in continuing the legacy of the franchise that is cherished by legions of fans worldwide. We are honoured to continue this treasured heritage, and look forward to ushering in the next phase of the legendary 007 for audiences around the world," head of Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios, Mike Hopkins, said.
Since Amazon acquired MGM Studios and its catalog in 2022, it has held distribution rights for all of the James Bond films.
