The 30-year US Treasury bond yield rose on Thursday, gaining over 10 basis points. The uptick came as markets absorbed President Donald Trump's announcement of a 90-day pause on reciprocal tariffs aimed at easing trade tensions.

Despite the reprieve on tariffs, bond markets remained volatile following a significant selloff on Wednesday. A stronger-than-expected 10-year Treasury auction helped calm fears, but investor caution persists. The long bond's yield moved within a wide daily range, climbing from an opening level of 4.735% to 4.893%.

As of 11:53 am ET, the 10-year Treasury yield rose by 2.3 basis points to 4.379%, and the 30-year yield increased 11.2 basis points to 4.847%.
