The Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) announced on Friday in a statement that three individuals were killed, including the perpetrator, while another three were injured, in shootings that took place in multiple locations in central Pennsylvania.

"A male suspect, identified as 22-year-old Ricky Shannon, of Altoona, entered an apartment at 348 Sassafras Terrace on East Main Street in Mt. Joy Borough, Lancaster County. Inside the apartment, he shot multiple people, fatally injuring one, before fleeing in a vehicle," the PSP added.

After a high-speed pursuit spanning 40 miles, the suspect engaged in a gunfight with state troopers, which ultimately led to his demise.
