Zelensky: Putin's missile strike 'clear escalation'
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated on Thursday in a Telegram post that Russian President Vladimir Putin's use of a new ballistic missile against Ukraine is a "clear escalation in scale and brutality of this war."
"This is Russia's second step towards escalation in a year. The first such step was the involvement of North Korea in the war," Zelensky remarked, adding that today's strike with the new missile just shows once again that Putin isn't interested in peace.
The head of Ukraine insisted that the world must react as Putin is constantly monitoring the behavior of other countries in relation to his actions. Zelensky warned that if there is no "strong reaction" now, Moscow will never stop striking and Kiev won't be its only target.
