Turkey to face Netherlands after beating Austria 2-1

Turkey emerged victorious in the final Round of 16 match against Austria on Tuesday with a final score of 2-1, securing their spot in the quarterfinals where they will play against Netherlands in the UEFA Euro 2024 football championship.

Despite the initiative from the Austrian side and a goal by Michael Gregoritsch in the minute 66th, the hero of the night for Turkey was defender, Merih Demiral who scored twice, in the 1st and 59th minutes of the match, locking the victory for Turkey.

Turkey will face the Netherlands in Berlin on July 6.
