Ex-Speaker Pelosi says Biden, Trump owe mental tests
Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi stressed on Tuesday that both U.S. President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump should undergo mental and health tests to dispel any rumors about their ability to lead the country for another term.
"Both candidates owe whatever test you want to put them to, in terms of their mental acuity and their health, both of them," Pelosi said on MSNBC. Pelosi added that she thinks it is a "legitimate question" to question if Biden's performance at the presidential debate was just "an episode" or "a condition."
Her comments come at the same time that a new poll revealed that US voters perceive that the Democratic Party would be in a better position to remain in the White House if the nominee were someone other than Biden.
