Bitcoin tops $95,000 for first time

Bitcoin made further strides as it carried on with its march toward the $100,000 milestone, breaking just above $95,000 for the first time during Asia trading on investor hopes that United States President-elect Donald Trump would bring about a more hospitable US regulatory approach to cryptocurrencies.

The world's largest cryptocurrency continued yesterday's rally, which was fueled by reports that Trump Media and Technology Group (TMTG) is in "advanced talks" to buy cryptocurrency trading firm Bakkt, as per the Financial Times.

Bitcoin increased by 0.65% to $95,002 at 10:15 pm ET.
